This site offers information about mobile phones, EME (electromagnetic energy) and how mobile technology may impact health. It also details how mobile networks and mobile phones operate, the safety standards for mobile phones and network infrastructure, and how Telstra operates its networks responsibly in order to minimise community impacts.
There are many sources of information on mobile phones and health. We recommend the web sites of the authorities we rely on for expert advice and other information sources, which are listed under Information Sources and Links.
Recently the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), an agency of the World Health Organization (WHO), conducted a review on Radio Frequency Electromagnetic Energy, which included mobile phones and base stations, and its potential association with cancer in humans. You can read the findings from IARC on the EME Research page, and also responses to these findings.
