Going overseas?

When roaming overseas it’s free to check your balance and recharge your Pre-Paid services by:

  • visiting m.telstra.com from your internet capable Telstra mobile, tablet or Pre-Paid broadband device.
  • dialling #100# from your Telstra mobile. Press send to see the menu, and follow the prompts.
  • calling 125 8888 from your Telstra Pre-Paid mobile, and following the prompts.
  • using SMS recharge with your previously set up recharge PIN. SMS the recharge amount (space) and your 4-digit PIN to 125 8885.

On your device: Using an EzyRecharge pre-registered PIN instead of your PayPal login. To set up and get your EZYPIN, register your PayPal account details. You’ll need your Telstra Pre-Paid service number, mobile number and your PayPal account details when you register.

Credit Me2U®

Credit Me2U

The Credit Me2U service is a handy option that allows you to recharge a Telstra Pre-Paid service from your Telstra Post-Paid mobile account.

You can perform a small one-off credit transfer to a Telstra Pre-Paid mobile without registration. You can also register to make larger transfers or set up a regular scheduled transfer.

To access Credit Me2U on your Telstra post-paid mobile, dial '#100#' and press send. Then select '2' and 'Send' to select 'Credit Me2U'. Follow the prompts to complete your transaction.

Just so you know, recurring transfers need to be set up 24 hours in advance and require you to create a PIN. There is a 25c charge for each successful credit transfer. Any amount credited will be charged to the customer's post-paid mobile bill, in addition to the monthly access charge.

Each Telstra Post-Paid mobile can transfer:

  • a maximum of $100 per month by one-off credit transfer
  • a maximum of $300 per month by scheduled transfer
  • a maximum of $400 per month combined one-off and scheduled transfers.

Hint: Make sure you check the mobile phone number and amount before sending, as transferred credit cannot be reversed or cancelled once confirmed.

BPAY®

BPay

BPAY allows you to recharge your Telstra Pre-Paid mobile service via internet or phone banking. You can even set up automatic recharges.

  • Step 1. Log on or call up your financial institution's internet banking or phone banking service to make a payment of any amount between $20 and $180 from your cheque or savings account
  • Step 2. Select the 'BPAY' option and follow the prompts given by your participating financial institution. Please make a note of your receipt number.
    Telstra Pre-Paid Biller Code is 150979.
    Your Customer Reference Number is your 10 digit mobile number
  • Step 3. We'll send you a text message (for Telstra Pre-Paid devices that can receive text messages), when the credit has been added to your Telstra Pre-Paid service. The recharge credit should be applied to your Telstra Pre-Paid service one banking day after your payment is received by Telstra.

Please note that as per any other BPAY transaction there may be a delay if you miss your bank's cut off times for BPAY transactions and on weekends and public holidays. You will need to be registered with your financial institution for telephone or internet banking to use BPAY.

Save details and schedule your payments

Save payment details and recharge PIN

You can make a one-off recharge any time, or save your payment details for a quicker recharge in the future using a 4 digit recharge PIN;

  • Any time you make a Credit/Debit card recharge you can choose to save those payment details to use later, or
  • Save your bank account details via My Account

Your PIN can be used via multiple recharge options - online, My Account, 24x7 Apps, visiting m.telstra.com on your device, dialling #100# or calling 125 8888.


Scheduled Monthly Recharge

With Scheduled Monthly Recharge, you can recharge your Pre-Paid service automatically. The amount you choose will be automatically deducted each month on the date you nominate using your chosen saved payment method.

Once you have saved your payment details, you'll be able to access our scheduled recharge service via My Account, visiting m.telstra.com on your device, dialling #100# or calling 125 8888.

Keep in mind that a scheduled monthly recharge will occur on the same day every month but a month may be 28, 30 or 31 days. If your credit expires every 30 days, you will need to select another recharge option if you would like your unused credit to rollover in months with 31 days.

Balance Based Recharge

With Balance Based Recharge you can recharge your Pre-Paid service automatically. The amount you choose will be automatically deducted using your chosen saved payment method when your Pre-Paid main account balance reaches a level you specify. You can set this up at My Account.
