Telstra Internet Direct Premium Packages offer Internet solutions for customers requiring high speed, dedicated Internet connectivity in a bundled offering. The package comprises both the Telstra Internet Direct Service and the underlying carriage service. You will need to provide your own customer premise equipment or you can purchase routers through the Megalink and Business DSL offering.
A simple, integrated Internet offer, the packages are designed to minimise administration and provide a ‘plug and play’ solution into existing infrastructure, while offering the benefits of Telstra’s Internet and Data products.

- Static IP addresses - up to 512 IP addresses.
- Optional features - including BGP-4 routing, Primary/Secondary DNS, Secondary MX, proxy cache to assist managing your network.
- Online management & reporting tools (CustData)- for analysing and managing Internet business requirements including real time traffic statistics and weekly reporting, plus secure online statement of charges and account management.

Megalink Premium Package
Megalink provides a point-to-point, high speed digital transmission service operating at 2Mbps. This provides direct access into the Internet Direct Point of Presence exchanges, so that dedicated access can be achieved. For more information on Megalink access, visit Megalink Premium Packages.

Monthly Charges - Megalink Premium Package
The Monthly Charge for the Megalink Premium Package is made up of two components:
- a fixed Monthly Standard Charge which incorporates a fixed download Gigabyte Allowance per Month; plus
- excess Usage Charges, if the download Gigabyte Allowance is exceeded

Note: Coverage is defined as the radial distance between your terminating Megalink exchange and the Telstra Internet Direct Point of Presence.

ATM Premium Packages
ATM allows simultaneous transfer of voice, data and video across a single network. For more information on ATM access, visit ATM Premium Packages.
Two types of ATM Premium Packages are available:
- ATM Access Premium Package - ATM access with one PVC into Internet Direct. The package offers reliable and scalable Internet connectivity, however is not suitable if you require a network solution, as only one PVC is provisioned.
- ATM PVC Only Premium Package - one ATM PVC into Internet Direct. As ATM access infrastructure is not provided as part of the package, existing ATM infrastructure must be in place, making the package ideal if you require multiple PVCs or redundant solutions.
Both packages are available with speeds of up to 2Mbps, 4Mbps, 6Mbps, 8Mbps and 10Mbps.

Ethernet Premium Packages
Ethernet MAN provides easy, cost effective connection between your equipment and the Internet. The Bandwidth on Demand feature enables dynamic control of bandwidth, with speeds ranging from 2Mbps up to 1Gbps. The Ethernet Premium Packages offer three redundancy options to cater for different requirements. For more information visit Ethernet Premium Packages.
From November 2007, the Ethernet Single Uplink Premium Package became available. This service offers Full Duplex bandwidth but does not include Bandwidth on Demand capability.

Business DSL Premium Packages
Business DSL is a business grade data service designed to meet the needs of customers requiring simple, high speed data services in a symmetric fashion. Business DSL is a simple and cost effective solution, as the service is supplied with an Ethernet interface that quickly and easily allows Internet connectivity to be integrated into customers' environments. Business DSL provides bandwidth from 512Kbps to 4Mbps.
