Redundancy Options
Telstra Internet Direct now offers you the option of having a discounted second service to provide redundancy for your business. This Redundant Service must be the same access type as your primary Telstra Internet Direct Service, and the access speed of the Redundant Service may not exceed the access speed of the primary Telstra Internet Direct Service.
The Redundant Services pricing below is only available for the following access types: Business DSL, Megalink, DDS Fastway, Frame Relay, Colocation, IP WAN and ATM. Other types of Redundant Services may be available on request. Once Off Connection Charges
Redundant Services will attract the following once-only Connection Charges (inclusive of GST).

Note: Minimum initial connection period for all access types is 12 months (Initial Period). Minimum cost for Business DSL Redundant Service connection (any speed) is $1,331.00 plus excess usage charges, if applicable. Minimum cost for Megalink and DDS Fastway Redundant Service connections (any speed) is $2,156.00 plus excess usage charges, if applicable. Minimum cost for Frame Relay, IP WAN and ATM Redundant Service connections (speeds up to and including 2Mbps) is $2,156.00 plus excess usage charges, if applicable. Minimum cost for a Colocation Redundant Service connection (100Mbps) is $8,250.00 plus excess usage charges, if applicable.
Monthly Charges
The Monthly Charge for Redundant Services is made up of two components:
- a fixed Monthly Standard Charge; plus
- Usage Charges for any traffic received.
