Manage IP

As an IP Network customer, we provide you with a number of online tools to help you manage your network. IP Gateway customers can make changes to their gateway in real time to protect themselves against threats. IP Gateway Reporting is a traffic monitoring tool, while IPVis provides greater visibility of your network.
IP Gateway
IP Gateway is available to our IP Gateway customers to make changes to their gateway in real time. The gateway helps protect the Telstra Next IP® network against internet and network based threats using Level 3 firewalls, content scanners and remote access capabilities.

IP Gateway Reporting
IP Gateway Reporting is available to our IP Gateway customers to allow monitoring and reporting on the traffic that is processed by your IP Gateway. Through IP Gateway Reporting you can run a range of firewall and content security reports.

IP Users and Groups
IP Users and Groups is available to our IP Solutions customers to help them maintain their Advanced Radius1 users and conduct user administration tasks.
Benefits
- Secure – the online site offers two types of authentication
- Availability – the tool is available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week2
- Increased visibility and control – view and modify your VPN users by user, by service or by group and see the log of administrative changes performed
- Convenient – no special hardware and software required
Features
- User profiles – create, search and modify VPN user profiles; reset passwords and lock / unlock user accounts.
- User services – view, assign and edit authenticated services to users.
- User groups – list, create and edit groups to logically group your VPN users.
- Security groups – create and modify security groups that define the relationship between IP VPN users and IP gateway services (for IP gateway customers only).
- Password policy – place rules on users in terms of session timeouts and maximum number of login attempts.
- Bulk administration – export user profiles and perform changes in bulk.
- Change history – display a log of user administration transactions.
- Access privileges – give customised permissions to users of IP Users and Groups to control the function they have read / write access to

- Advanced Radius is an IP Solutions Value Added Service that handles the authentication and authorisation for your IP VPN users when they use your network.
- Except for schedule maintenance windows.
IPVis
IPVis is a network visualisation tool available to our IP VPN customers that allows a range of Telstra IP network services to be viewed in their topological form.
Benefits
- Better visibility – see the network properties (e.g. subscribed parameters, assigned logical resources) through the life cycle of the service
- Informed decision making – use the network display to assess the impact of service change requests prior to submitting change orders, and to better assess the business impact of planned outages
- Easy testing – conduct simple real-time tests or data retrieval to confirm service operational status. Please note that the displayed service data is not real time, but typically updated overnight.
Features
- Personalise your service data by assigning customer aliases and group names, tagging notes to network elements or sites, or editing your site contact details.
- Zoom and pan displayed network; click to display network element properties
- Select a whole-of-network display or a horizon view for network elements (more suitable for large networks)
- Drag and drop your internally-managed ICT, beyond Telstra service delivery point, to more completely display end to end service view
- Advanced search on any service properties
- Real-time commands such as PING, display routing table, trace route
- Print or download service data in a variety of formats
- Access privileges to give customised permissions to users of IPVis to control the function they have read / write access to.
