Prior to purchasing ADSL equipment you should confirm with your Internet Service Provider the equipment you wish to use is technically supported by their service and is certified as compliant with technical specifications for use with Telstra's ADSL network. Telstra will NOT support fault-finding on any ADSL equipment, which is not compliant.
Customers intending to connect to the Telstra BigPond Broadband ADSL service should check the Telstra BigPond Broadband ADSL rate card and system requirements for information on the modems supplied and supported as part of the Telstra BigPond Broadband ADSL service.
Customers may also call BigPond Broadband Sales on 13POND (137 663) for information on the modems currently supported by BigPond Broadband ADSL.
The following ADSL equipment has been certified by manufacturers as having successfully passed interoperability tests. Please confirm whether this equipment is supported by your ISP.
The equipment manufacturer/vendor has independently certified their equipment to meet the requirements of IP 1149 (see .PDF file below). Telstra does not guarantee the performance or supply of this equipment. Note the specific model numbers of the certified ADSL equipment, the model approval does not imply all that vendor’s equipment complies with IP 1149.
