Frequently asked questions

Telstra TV service will deactivate at 11:59 PM on 31 October 2024 and it will no longer work after this date.

Once disabled, your Telstra TV will not work at all. This means you will be unable to access free-to-air television or streaming applications on your Telstra TV after this date. No action is required from you to shut down the service, as all Telstra TV devices will automatically be disabled on 31 October  2024. After this date, you can recycle your Telstra TV at one of our 300 Telstra stores.

Your third-party app subscriptions will remain unaffected. You can continue to use and watch your favourite applications/ subscriptions on any device supported by the app provider. Refer to the respective app’s website for a list of supported devices and use your existing login details to continue watching.

As of 1 June 2024, we have cancelled all Telstra TV repayments. We have waived any outstanding balances.

Yes, Telstra Plus points can be used to buy or rent movies and TV shows in the Fetch store on Fetch services attached to a Telstra account. There are over 11,000 movies and over 800 shows to choose from, and all are eligible to purchase with Telstra Plus points.

Fetch is available to everyone, and you do not need to be a Telstra customer to set up an account directly with Fetch.  However, only Fetch accounts set up with Telstra offer the ability to use your Telstra Plus points to purchase shows and movies on Fetch, and to transfer any existing Telstra Box office entitlements across to Fetch.

No. Once the Telstra TV is disabled, it will no longer be usable, and you cannot access any apps. Therefore a factory reset is unnecessary.

Yes, simply login to the app on your new Fetch set-top box or other supported devices using your existing login details. Your subscription will continue to be billed by Telstra.

  1. Disconnect the antenna cable from your Telstra TV and connect it directly to your TV.
  2. You may need to add free to air channels to your TV if you haven't done it before. This process is different depending on your TV. Please refer to your TV manufacturer's website for instructions. Most TVs have the ability to automatically scan for all available analog and digital channels in your area.

Note, you will need a digital antenna to receive digital broadcasts.
